Teams of four,
using four ropes, will pull a Farmall "H" tractor a distance of 100 feet. The
team that pulls the tractor with the fastest time wins. To do this the
team needs to switch out one member and will have to pay the $10 entry fee
again.
There will be three age divisions: 15 – 20 years of age,
21-35 years of age, and 36 years and older. All participants will be asked to
sign a waiver prior to participating. Prizes are $100 to first; $40 to
second; and $20 to third place winners in each division.
Rules and Guidelines
Each
individual will have a rope, which is 24 feet in length. The rope will be
taped at the distance of 20 feet, any individual placing their hand or any part
of their body on the rope within the 20 feet is disqualified. The ropes cannot
be knotted. At the start gun, the team will pull the tractor, carrying the
operator, for 100 feet as fast as they can. The operator will be able to stop
the tractor when they reach 100 feet. The same Heritage Bank employee will
be on the tractor for the entire competition. The tractor operator will
serve as the safety official for the contest and can stop the contest at any
time.
Two timers are used. There will be a flag person to
start and stop the competition. The flag person will serve as the judge.
The judge's decision is final.
